Wales has a rich folk song tradition  as well as a tradition of hymn singing where many of the tunes have become so much part of the culture that they almost rank as folk music. Over the last few years Margaret has been writing metrical versions of the Sunday Psalms and canticles which are set to folk tunes or well known hymn tunes. We offer two collections of these BRYNEGLWYS PSALMS  and MORE BRYNEGLWYS PSALMS  (Bryneglwys is the name of the parish for which these psalms were originally written) Click on the notes to see the contents of these booklets. ¯

THE COMING KING- four short meditative services for Advent which can be used as part of a series of Advent Bible Study, or as part of weekly worship during Advent, or as worship for House Groups etc.

SIMON SAYS - a drama exploring what it means to follow Jesus. Simon Peter is discovered asleep in a bus shelter by a couple of teenagers. he is on day release from Heaven to brush up his 'fishing for people' techniques. The youngsters talk and argue and meet some of Simon's friends and leave the audience with a question and challenge. Originally written for a group of very small rural churches it was great fun to write and to produce!

THE BIBLE IN ABOUT AN HOUR  - an attempt to do for the Bible what the Reduced Shakespeare Company has done for the Bard!  A play designed for use in church, with lots of humour and some solemn moments.

The above booklets  £2 each plus postage. To order booklets write to Coleg y Groes, Corwen, Denbighshire LL21 0DR or E-mail colegygroes@btconnect.com

Celtic Christian Spirituality

We are interested in exploring our heritage of celtic (especially Welsh ) roots. Heather has an MA in Celtic Christianity. Particular interests are sacred sites, lorica (protection) prayers, pilgrimage, and what we can learn from the celtic tradition for worship, spirituality and evangelism today.

You may like to explore a particular area (e.g. pilgrimage) in a retreat.
